Deng Wol Sudan: The untold story of slavery continues

Sudan's enslaved children are not permitted to use their mother tongue and instead have to memorize the Koran. They are given new names, and start to think of themselves as Muslims. They endure unimaginable cruelties and witness executions and mutilations of those who resist. When they return to Southern Sudan, they are strangers in the land of their birth.

For the last 12 years CSI has been committed to rescue people like Deng Wol, alias Mohammed Abdelrahman, from slavery and forced Islamization. To this day, thousands remain in bondage in the Arab North. They need our support and our prayers.

Pakistan:
Blasphemy laws jail Christians for 25 years

Buta MasihJames MasihIn the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Christians have been arrested for allegedly uttering slanderous remarks against the Prophet Mohammed or the Koran. Among them are Butah Masih, 70, and James Masih, 65. They were sentenced on November 25, 2006 by the “Anti-Terrorism Court” of the city of Faisalabad to 25 years’ imprisonment for “blasphemy against the Koran”. CSI lends its support to the efforts of the Christian lawyer Khalil Tahir in securing their freedom.
